Matt Rayment my brother, this one is for you. A current photo of my dirt whip, the GT Peace 9R. This image was captured today as I rode across the forest moon of Endor. Below is a picture of Matt’s pony, photographed near the Hobbit village of Bree. Imagination invoked to avoid cursing the hills found in these parts (seriously, take a look at a profile map of the Tasman Peninsula.. vert!).
Little mission.
The little missions can be the best ones. Rode to the jetty in Taranna with Huon this morning, threw some stones in the water, looked under rocks for crabs, cast out a line, and said ‘hi’ to a kayak passing by. Good times.

What Goes on Tour…
The Tour of Tasmania came South to Hobart today, for the first time in a bloody long time. The shin-dig kicked off with a team time trial up Mt Wellington this arvo, which would have been lovely for about 300m of vertical gain before entering the thick cloud that covered the mountain. BnC was well represented by Hunners, whose mid-morning quest for a working megaphone was seemingly fruitless. I didn’t make it up the hill due to work, but here’s a snap that’s surfaced. Dunno who the poor bastard is on the bike, but I’m sure you can use your imagination when it comes to the audio. At least he’s got his pants on…
Irymple
Big storms rolled through Sunraysia this arvo. Hail stones shot holes through oranges in the orchards, left deep drifts that could be mistaken for snow, and drenched the only cyclist stupid enough to go and get a ‘closer look’.
